ENOTECA
When winemakers are inspired by passion, respect for rural culture and a sincere production ethic, wine can help change the world. Viticulture can add value to marginal areas, mountain communities and other remote regions and help stop the advance of concrete.
The Enoteca at the Salone del Gusto and Terra Madre honors the vignerons working in this spirit, offering not just an enjoyable tasting experience but a real glass-in-hand tour of Italy, because getting to know a wine also means getting to know a place, the communities who live there and the characteristics that make it unique.
This year the Enoteca will be taking a more educational approach to tastings. The over 1,200 labels from Italian wineries belonging to Slow Food’s ProgettoVino, many reviewed in Slow Food Editore’s Slow Wine guide, have been subdivided into regional macro-areas, so that wines can be immediately identified with their place of origin. The selection of old vintages from the Wine Bank in Pollenzo will be the undisputed stars of the Enoteca.
Opening hours:
Thursday: 1pm to 10.30 pmFriday: saturday and sunday 12pm to 10.30 pm
Monday: 12pm to 7pm
The Enoteca is in the hall connecting Pavilion 3 of the Lingotto Fiere and the Oval.
ProgettoVino is for wineries who want to work with Slow Food to promote enological culture through education (with the Master of Food), promotion activities (with the Enoteca at major events) and preserving historical memory (through the Wine Bank).
