The Cry of the Earth – Photography exhibition based on Pope Francis’s encyclical Laudato Si

Theme: The Common Good
Tag: Ecology and Sustainability

The Editrice Missionaria Italiana has always been committed to promoting issues relating to protecting the planet and respect for the environment, justice and peace. Now the publishing company is presenting a photography exhibition that introduces Pope Francis’s encyclical Laudato Si. Using the Pope’s words, powerful images and examples linked to current events, the exhibition brings visitors closer to good practices for adopting new ways of life and improving the care of our common home. The exhibition’s 12 panels show how, as Pope Francis writes, “a true ecological approach always becomes a social approach; it must integrate questions of justice in debates on the environment, so as to hear both the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor.” The exhibition is accompanied by photographic documentation of the Church’s projects to help rural people in various parts of the world.

Event organized by:
Archdiocese of Turin
Editrice Missionaria Italiana (EMI)
Federation of Christian Organizations for International Volunteer Service
Missioni Consolata magazine

The exhibition is open from 9am-12pm and 4pm-7pm.
Entrance is free.
