As in previous editions, one of the highlights of Terra Madre Salone del Gusto is the Enoteca, this year hosted in one of Turin’s most beautiful spaces: the courtyard of the Royal Palace!
In a country that boasts over a million vineyards, wine is more than just a drink: it’s an important part of culture and daily life, a tradition stretching back thousands of years. Here, under the arches of the city’s former seat of power, you’ll find over 900 Italian labels, from simple table wines to prestigious vintages, from the north to the south of the country.
Create your own ideal journey, choosing between the producers who participate in the Wine Project, a collaboration between Slow Food and the Banca del Vino in Pollenzo. The viticulture of Piedmont will take a leading role, offering tastings of all the various denominations that together form the region’s varied panorama, from the sparkling wines of the Langhe to the internationally renowned reds like Barolo and Barbaresco. Next to Piedmont, hundreds of labels from every region of Italy will showcase the country’s enormous wine diversity, divided by denomination and type.
Every afternoon and evening, the Enoteca will also host the Temporary Tasting, in which unmissable and extremely rare wines from the most valued vintages will be on offer. The list of tastings will be published soon, as we are still finalizing our program!
We’ll be waiting for you from noon to midnight (service closes at 11:30pm), from September 22-26. You’ll be joined by the sommeliers of Fisar, who’ll accompany on you on a journey of through great wines in a truly royal location.
