Wine Bank
Stories in a glass
Travels through space and time
The Wine Bank in Pollenzo-Bra (Cuneo) will stage a number of fascinating Taste Workshops at the Salone, while the Enoteca will devote a special space to the wines that have aged in its cellars.
The Wine Bank tells the tale of Italian wine from the postwar years. The plot of the story, packed with bottles, characters and places, thickened in the 1990s with the Italian wine renaissance. Now, thanks to the 300 wineries that ‘deposit’ their best bottles every year, the Wine Bank now draws a map of Italian enology in the new century.
It too becomes a journey in which the traveler, glass in hand, sets out from the South Tyrol for Pantelleria, meeting a huge variety of Italian wines and finding out about their places of origin, vineyards and producers along the way.
