Important stages on the journey are the Islands of Taste, tasting areas, and the Kitchens, where, choosing from a full menu, you can get to know (if you donít know them already) diverse geographic areas: Lazio, Bolzano, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Vercelli, Emilia-Romagna, Puglia, Sicily, Umbria, Val díAosta, Veneto, Tuscany, Liguria from Italy, Japan, Norway, Bavaria, Catalunya and Ireland from abroad.

A journey of shopping and eating
A single journey with two intertwining routes: the Market, the Kitchens and the Islands of Taste (tasting areas). Along the way, you can buy unique food products to take home or put your senses to the test by savoring them directly.

The Market
The Market is the beating heart of the Salone, a maze of lanes and stalls and stands, a place where you can discover and rediscover a whole world of food products.

Thanks to Slow Food’s growth round the world, this year the Market will involve more countries than ever before.

The journey to the roots of food thus becomes a journey through the flavors of across countries in all five continents: Italy, Great Britain, France, Spain, Germany, Japan, Argentina, Mexico, USA, Philippines, Norway, The Netherlands, Brazil, Guatemala, Slovakia, Poland, Colombia, the West Indies, Australia and many others besides.

The Market is the place where it is possible to trace the roots of food.

All exhibitors are asked to adhere to sustainability projects, such as the use of intelligent, low environmental-impact packaging and the use of sources of alternative energy in the production/distribution of products.
