School Gardens: finding out about the food supply chain
The School Garden lessons will teach primary and middle school pupils all about the food supply chain: from the sowing of seeds to biodiversity, from seasonality to tasting, from field to fork.
Timetable
Thursday, Friday, Monday: 9.30am – 10am – 11am – 11.30am – 12pm – 1pm – 2pm – 2.30pm – 3.30pm Saturday: 9.30am – 10am – 11am – 11.30am.
To enroll classes –each lesson lasts 45 minutes– teachers must book at educazione@slowfood.it or fax 0172 419750, stating their name and private telephone number and address, name of school, class, number of children per class, date and chosen time. The Slow Food Education Office will then contact you to confirm the booking.
Master of Food meetings for secondary schools
One-hour lessons to teach youngsters about food—from cured meats to oil, from cereals to meat, from fruit and vegetables to spices—through the consolidated Master of Food method of theory and practice.
