Terra Madre al Salone
The Salone del Gusto and Terra Madre will be closer together than ever in 2008.
The first a meeting place for producers and consumers, the second more of a political, ethical and environmental operation.
Visitors to the Salone del Gusto have the chance to meet the food communities at the Conferences organized at Lingotto on the major issues of Terra Madre. Food security, climate change, local economy, seeds and biopiracy are just some of the subjects that will be addressed and discussed by distinguished speakers and by the professionals without whom quality food could not be produced, processed, distributed and consumed—without whom it would not be the economic, environmental, social and cultural resource that it is.
Some of the conferences will focus on biodiversity, addressing the burning issues and presenting some of the projects of the Slow Food Foundation for Biodiversity.
