A new way of reading the Salone del Gusto and Terra Madre

Journalists who have attended past editions of the Salone del Gusto and Terra Madre will see many changes this year. Thanks to the conceptual and practical union of the two events, representatives from the food communities can be interviewed among the stalls of the Marketplace, alongside the Presidia producers and the Salone’s historic exhibitors, and their products can be tasted in the same exhibition area or at many of the Taste Workshops. The Conferences, also open to the public, will provide another forum for their reflections and stories. Like the Earth Workshops of previous editions, they will confront the issues of most significance to the network, like biodiversity, land grabbing, GMOs and animal welfare. Specific thematic areas will gather together ideas, products and experiences, uniting food producers from all five continents who share the same values and the same daily challenges.

This year the Salone del Gusto and Terra Madre will start with a grand inauguration ceremony, held in Turin on the evening of Wednesday October 24. Don’t miss it!
